Thank you for visiting Element Boulder. We are a clinical research lab, located at Avista Hospital in Louisville, Colorado. Our studies focus on developmental medical devices that test physiological changes in the human body, such as blood pressure cuffs, respiratory devices, smart watches, and pulse oximeters.

Once the Device Under Test (DUT) have fulfilled the research requirements, they are submitted to the FDA in order to receive clearance for use.

Our organization is comprised of engineers, technicians, respiratory therapists, and clinicians with over thirty years of experience. The Boulder Element team boasts an extensive medical research and testing background, having worked in industry labs, and medical institutions developing, testing, and designing medical products.

 

When failure in use is not an option, we help customers make certain that their products, materials, processes, and services are safe, compliant and fit for purpose. Element Boulder is actively involved with standards organizations, such as the ASTM, ISO, IEC, and the FDA in development of worldwide harmonized pulse oximetry standards.​
